As an ASPIRE scholar, you'll gain early exposure to the insurance industry through mentorship, structured learning, and internship opportunities.
Throughout the program, you'll build valuable skills, professional networks, and real-world experience that support your transition from university to the workplace.
Upon graduation, scholars will begin fulfilling their contractual service bond with Liberty General Insurance Berhad in accordance with the terms of their scholarship agreement. Eligible scholars may also have opportunities to participate in relevant early-career development programs, subject to business needs and program requirements.

Eligibility Requirements
- Open to all Malaysian citizens
- Currently pursuing full-time Bachelor's Degree program in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or related fields (e.g., Business Administration, Business Studies, Economics)
- Open to Public and Private universities in Malaysia
- Excellent academic performance with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 or equivalent
- Open to undergraduate students from Year 1 to final year
- Non-recipient of other scholarship, loan or financial assistance

Screening
We will review eligible applications against the program’s eligibility criteria, academic achievements, leadership potential and overall suitability.

Assessment
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in the ASPIRE Assessment Centre. The assessment may include online assessments, presentations, interviews and other evaluation activities.

Scholarship Offer
Successful candidates will receive an offer to join the ASPIRE Scholarship Program and begin their development journey with Liberty.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, subject to scholarship availability, university academic calendars and program requirements. We encourage interested students to apply early for upcoming assessment cycles.

1. Who is eligible to apply?
The ASPIRE Scholarship Program is open to Malaysian undergraduate students pursuing approved engineering or business-related disciplines at recognized public or private universities in Malaysia. Applicants must also meet the program’s eligibility criteria.
2. Is there an application deadline?
There is no fixed annual application deadline. Applications are accepted throughout the year, subject to scholarship availability, university academic calendars and program requirements. We encourage interested students to apply early for upcoming assessment cycles.
3. Will I be bonded to work with Liberty after graduation?
Yes. Successful scholars are required to fulfill a contractual service bond with Liberty General Insurance Berhad. The bond duration and applicable terms will be determined based on the scholarship awarded and set out in the scholarship agreement.
4. Can international students apply?
No. The ASPIRE Scholarship Program is open to Malaysian citizens only.
5. How will I know if I am successful?
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted at each relevant stage of the selection process. Successful candidates will receive an official scholarship offer by email.

7. Can I apply if I am already receiving financial assistance?
No. Applicants who are receiving another scholarship, sponsorship or financial assistance are not eligible for the ASPIRE Scholarship Program.
8. Which years of study are eligible for the ASPIRE Scholarship Program?
Applications are open to eligible full-time undergraduate students from Year 1 through the final year of study. Foundation, matriculation, diploma, pre-university and postgraduate programs are not eligible.
9. I am not in my first year of study. Can I still apply?
Yes. Eligible students may apply at any stage of a full-time undergraduate program, from Year 1 through the final year of study.
10. Is an internship included?
ASPIRE scholars will have the opportunity to gain practical industry experience through internship opportunities with Liberty as part of their development journey.
11. What happens after I complete my studies?
Upon graduation, scholars may have the opportunity to continue their professional journey with Liberty through relevant graduate or associate development programs, subject to business needs and program requirements.
